Kidney Care Center was founded in 2008 and now employees three full time Physicians, two Certified Physician’s Assistants and two APRN team members. Our Mid-Levels are healthcare providers who are educated at medical schools, in the medical model. They are trained to diagnose and treat illness, as well as provide preventative care in partnership with a physician supervisor.

At Kidney Care Center we completely trust, train and provide team care for all our patients in managing their kidney disease. We firmly believe, and our experience has shown it to be true, that those patients who are consistent in keeping their appointments have fewer episodes of acute illness, better management of chronic illnesses and generally better overall health.

We specialize in treatment of Hypertension, diseases of Kidneys, fluid and electrolyte disorders, dialysis, transplant, Hemo- & Peritoneal dialysis.

LOCATIONS

We have two locations with our primary office location being on the 5th floor of the Doctors Building at 500 S. University Avenue, Suite 505, in Little Rock.

We provide care at our Sherwood location, 6020 Warden Rd, Suite, to assist our North Little Rock population. We are only at this clinic on Wednesdays.

For your scheduling convenience we offer one main telephone number 501.588.1100 to service both locations. Both offices are ADA accessible.

HOSPITAL
In addition to our office, we provide in-patient consultation services at Baptist Health Medical Center, Little Rock and North Little Rock campus, as well as Baptist Health Rehabilitation Institute in Little Rock, CHI St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock, CHI St. Vincent Medical Center North & Rehabilitation Hospital, Sherwood.

Our Physicians may schedule follow up appointments after hospitalization for Chronic Care Management. This allows us to monitor your kidney function and to keep this function stable. Chronic Care Management will assist you with medication changes, nephrology lab or other result management and to ensure you understand changes, recommendations and how to proceed going forward.

APPOINTMENTS/FAX SERVICE
We offer one convenient number for appointment scheduling 501-588-1100 and to fax medical records 501-588-1750.

To our referring Physician offices, for timely scheduling approval, please fax the last visit note with reason for referral as well as nephrology labs (CMP/BMP), and radiology results for renal ultrasound or biopsy.

EDUCATION
Patient nephrology education is very important to our Physicians and Mid-Level team at Kidney Care Center. “We utilize the Kidney Smart® program to provide education about kidney disease. This includes a review of the causes of kidney disease, lifestyle choices, diet information and insurance and employment decisions. Kidney Smart® classes also prepare you for disease progression by reviewing treatment options such as transplant, in-center hemodialysis, home peritoneal dialysis or home hemodialysis. Patients and caregivers may take these classes at no cost. Once you are recommended by your physician, a Kidney Smart® team member will contact you to schedule a class.”

DIALYSIS
To provide care for our patients on dialysis we are affiliated with multiple DaVita Dialysis Centers in Little Rock, Jacksonville and North Little Rock.
 

INSURANCE
Our physicians are contracted with most insurance carriers and accept Medicare, Railroad Medicare and Medicaid patients age 18 and older.
